The remaining percentage of “non-natural” ingredients can be explained by the presence of certain preservatives which prevent bacterial growth (benzyl alcohol, dehydroacetic acid). These preservatives are approved by Cosmécert for organic-certified products.

What about 1% non-natural ingredients?
Like all cosmetic products, our illuminating powder must contain preservatives that prevent bacterial growth. This protects our users from possible contamination when a produced is poorly protected.
Only five preservatives are authorized and approved for use in organic products because of their “nature-identical characteristics. That is, these preservatives are present in fruits or plants in quantities too small to be used hence the need to synthesize them. Benzyl alcohol and dehydroacetic acid are included in these preservatives. The first is naturally present in certain fruits while the latter is naturally present in certain plants.

Recommendations for use:
As a final note, apply the illuminating powder to the rounded parts of the face. Start with the eyes. For a wide-eyed look, place a touch of illuminating powder on the arch of the eyebrow just below the eyebrow and end at the inner corner of the eye. Then move on to your cheekbones. Lightly sweep across the upper cheekbones, moving from the inside to the outside.
To slim your nose, draw a line along the ridge.
Apply a light touch of illuminating powder in the hollow between your upper lip and your nose (Cupid’s bow).
